Territorial rearrangement:

  1. Three ruling dynasties were destroyed - Romanov in Russia, Hohenzollern in Germany and Hapsburg in Austria - Hungary
  2. Ottomans rule came to an end.
  3. Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia emerged as independent states (Romani, Finland).
  4. Alsace-Lorraine was restored to France.
  5. Schleswig - Holstein was given to Denmark
  6. Austria - Hungry separated
  7. USA emerged as World Power
  8. Germany had to surrender the areas of Eupen and Malmedy to Belgium.
