ii. Mention any three adaptations found in plants to overcome the process mentioned in (i).

Answer

i. Absorption of water by roots, Transpiration by leaves. To prevent evaporation of water.

ii. Sunken stomata, fewer stomata, narrow leaves, Rolled or folded leaves, loss of leaves, leaves modified to spines, thick cuticle on leaves. /small leaves/needle like leaves/hair on leaves/multiple epidermis.
